Our initiatives..!!!
Being a responsible and one of its kind Facebook group, MRs existence is not only limited to Facebook or social networking world. MR members are bound by respect and responsibility towards our home town and our district. Once what was just and idea now spreads through the vein of our members in an effort to make our place, a better place to live. Thus the management of MR launched 3 major projects under its hard working and reliable members. The three projects that we launched are....
(1) Green Mangaldai, Clean Mangaldai (GMCM)
(2) Dwaram
(3) Incredible Darrang
GREEN MANGALDAI, CLEAN MANGALDAI:
GMCM is one of our serious initiative in an effort to make Mangaldai our hometown a better place to live. Several events were organised under the GMCM projects which includes Cycle Rally for creating awareness among common people, Earth Day celebration, Painting competition, Mass Cleaning Program, Plantation drive in various locations of Mangaldai, Installations of dustbins in several busy spots. While this is just a start of ambitious GMCM project, but above mentioned initiatives have gained attractions of local people and various media.
DWARAM:
Our place and our group is flooded with various individuals having various talents. And all they need is a little nurture. DWARAM is a bilingual magazine proposed for release in a three months interval. The first edition was published on 16th January in the MR meet. Inspired by the popularity and support MR is going to release the second edition of DWARAM. Articles are requested from our fellow members. Since MR's birth, at various occasions MR have organised various photography competitions. And we came to notice that many of our members have great photography skills. So we came to a decision to use this talent to explore our district and its various cultural and historical places, events etc. This would place our districts heritage in an online and wide platform and the persons behind this will also get to express their talents.
